arcSYSu, abbreviated as ARX (pronounced /ɑːrks/), is a research group working under the guidance of Associate Professor Xianwei Zhang in the School of Computer Science & Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University.
We build systems that help HPC and AI applications run efficiently across heterogeneous architectures, adapt to changing resources, and scale effectively. Our research spans computer architecture, compilers, runtime systems, and computing platforms. We translate research ideas into practical tools and services for research, education, and engineering.

arcSYSu is proudly part of the Interdisciplinary Research Center (xRC), jointly directed by Prof. Yutong Lu and Prof. Nong Xiao. We collaborate across the center on HPC/AI systems and their applications..

Our research is supported by prestigious programs, including the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and industry collaborations with Tencent®, Huawei®, Xiaomi®, Baidu® and Phytium®.
